Reuven Bigio - CEO of GB Group

A businessman from Port-Au-Prince, Reuven Bigio has been the CEO of GB Groups since 2011. In this role, Reuven Bigio oversees one of the Caribbean’s most diversified business conglomerates.

Mr. Bigio’s responsibilities involve managing operations in construction, consumer goods, energy, and telecommunications. In addition to managing these operations, he supervises more than 4,000 employees in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Saint Maarten. He also oversees collaborative operations in more than 15 countries.

Mr. Bigio also provides strategic direction for the conglomerate, ensuring that the companies’ missions align across diverse business units while maintaining the corporation’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. He partners with subsidiary leadership teams to improve performance, identify opportunities to expand, and navigate complex market conditions in the Caribbean. Mr. Bigio's other role includes overseeing significant capital investments and managing relations with international partners and stakeholders.

Mr. Bigio has positioned the conglomerate as a driver of economic development in the Caribbean, including championing a vision of business as a force for social impact. To this end, he co-founded Institut Macaya, a Haitian-led think tank advocating for democratic governance, institutional reform, and private sector-led solutions to the country’s challenges.

In addition to being co-founder of Institut Macaya, Mr. Bigio is a member of Haitian business associations, Caribbean regional business councils, democracy and governance advocacy groups, public policy forums, and diaspora engagement networks. His personal interests include mentoring young professionals and entrepreneurs, reforestation, traveling, and engaging with diaspora communities.
